This February JD hosted their Spring/Summer staff conference. Dalesman attended with multiple brands to showcase new products ranged in the JDO Group for 2025.

It was great to engage with the 1000 members of store staff over the two days and update and train them on the new categories our brands are launching. All staff were energised, engaged and very keen to find out more.

We appreciate you may have questions about the actions Igloo is taking in respect of the safety program for its 90QT Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers (the “Coolers”). 

We have sought to answer some of those below: 

• Why has Igloo decided to take this action? 

We are conducting this safety program as we have become aware, through our internal product safety processes, of the potential for the Cooler’s tow handle to pinch consumers’ fingertips against the Cooler, posing potential fingertip amputation and crushing hazards. 

Consumer safety is our number one priority, and so we are offering all customers who own an affected product a free replacement tow handle 

• What should consumers who own an affected product do? 

Consumers who own an affected product should register for a free handle replacement kit. 

To participate in the safety program, consumers should visit http://www.igloo90qtrecall.expertinquiry.com and complete the registration steps to receive the free handle replacement kit, shipped at no cost. The kit will provide all of the needed instructions on how to complete the handle replacement. 

• Have there been any safety incidents involving the affected Coolers? 

We are aware of a small number of incidents involving the affected Coolers. All incidents occurred in the U.S. 

• Will you notify regulators of this issue? 

Yes, Igloo will be proactively reaching out to the regulator in your jurisdiction to make them aware of this safety program. 

• When will the replacement kits be available? 

We are working to ensure that we have replacements kits available for any consumer who wants one. These will be available from 13 February 2025 onwards. 

• Are you offering refunds to customers who own an affected Cooler? 

No. We are offering a handle replacement kit free of charge to all customers who own an affected Cooler, which is the quickest and easiest way to ensure that they can continue to enjoy our products. 

• Are other Igloo products affected by this issue? 

No, this safety program is only for the 90 QT Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers manufactured by Igloo prior to January 2024. No other Igloo products are affected.

Igloo Products Corp. is conducting a safety program of its 90 Qt Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers, manufactured prior to January 2024. We are instituting this safety program because the tow handle can pinch consumers’ fingertips against the cooler, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards.

You should immediately stop using your cooler, determine whether it is subject to this safety program in accordance with the instructions below, and, if so, register for a free replacement handle.

In order to determine if your cooler is a part of the safety program, you need to check the date of manufacture. You can identify the date of manufacture by checking the date code that is on the bottom of your cooler as pictured below. This safety program only applies to 90 Qt Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers manufactured prior to January 2024.

The date code identifies the month and year of manufacture and is imprinted on the bottom of the cooler. The date code is a circular pattern with an arrow pointing to the month of manufacture and the last two digits of the year of manufacture inside the inner circle (see example images below).

The date code of the example image is October 2023. The arrow pointing to “10” represents October and the number “23” represents 2023.

When handling the cooler to inspect the date code, avoid pinch points indicated with an X in the picture below.

Your cooler is subject to this safety program if the date code is December 2023 or earlier. If the date code on your cooler is January 2024 or later, your cooler is not affected, you do not need to take any further steps and you can continue to use your cooler.
